In case you didn’t know, cows are way too gassy.

Because we’re obsessed with burgers and cheese, there’s too many of them. Cow farts equal methane. Methane equals pollution, and pollution equals global warming.

Cow farts are more damaging to the environment than cars, but fear not! Scientists in Denmark are working with well-known seed company DLF to create a “super grass” that’s easier for cows to digest.

Researchers at University of Aarhus say the emission-reducing grass likely won’t be ready to be distributed to farms until 2024.

The project is costing roughly $2 million, a fair price considering the 90 million tons of methane cows expel on a yearly basis.
