Having lived in College Station, Texas for a year, while I was doing afternoons on Mix 104.7, I know the Aggies can be a crazy bunch.
But this story takes the cake.
19-year-old Texas A&M student, Miranda Kay Rader, was arrested after police say she crashed her car into the back of a parked police car. As if this weren’t bad enough, apparently she had been distracted because she was sending her boyfriend a topless Snapchat picture.
The report made by the officer involved states that he had parked his patrol car with the rear emergency lights on, while he was investigating a disturbance call. While conducting interviews of people related to the call, Rader crashed her SUV into the back of his car.
As the officer approached, Rader was observed with her bra unfastened and was attempting to put back on her shirt. She told the officer that she was driving back to her dorm and was sending her boyfriend a Snapchat picture, while stopped at a red light.
She told the officer she was unhurt. The open bottle of wine in her car didn’t suffer any injuries either. The officer’s report indicates she failed parts of a field sobriety test and was taken to the hospital for a blood-alcohol test.
Rader was charged with DUI with an open container and ticketed for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
